Desert tomb bases
A desert-tomb base is mostly texture work. I lay down a cracked-earth texture paste, leave it to cure fully, then base-coat in a warm mid-brown.
Two drybrush passes — a sand tone then a near-white — catch the raised cracks and give the ground its bleached, sun-baked feel.
A couple of broken-pillar offcuts and a little static tuft in one corner are enough to imply a ruin without crowding the model.
